If you have received a call from someone asking you to pay anything with a credit card or bank account over the phone and stating they are us or affiliated with us, they are not. Do not pay them! If you have already paid them do whatever you can to get the money back fast. Call your bank or credit card company to cancel or dispute the charge. It is a scam! You will not get any contracts in the mail and your property is not sold by us. Unfortunately, you have been scammed. Scammers are tricky in their schemes from having a fake Buyer call you to giving the real name, company and website of a real legitimate company. You must be smart too. Do your research! HOW YOU CAN HELP PUT THE SCAMMERS BEHIND BARS
If you have been a victim of a scam please file a complaint with the following agencies:
1. Attorney General’s Office of the state in which you reside and also the state is which the scammer is located. State Attorney General’s websites can be found at www.naag.org/attorneys_general.php
The Federal Trade Commission
3. The Real Estate Division of the state in which the scammer is located.
The Better Business Bureau
We are doing everything we can on our end to put these scam artists out of business and legitimize our industry. However, in order to act the states need complaints from those who are being victimized. Some states have already had great progress and have put scammers in prison.
